I always knew I wanted my company to be socially responsible. Right around the time I was launching Cleavitz® a routine office mammogram turned into multiple biopsies, a hospital stay and ultimately surgery. While I was cancer free, the experience allowed me to see first-hand the wonderful and important work that Dr. Feldman and her team were doing at The Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University.
That experience, along with losing my mother-in law to re-emerging breast cancer in October 2008, led to my decision to donate a percentage of Cleavitz® revenue to Dr. Feldman and her team. These donations will continue to bring us closer to finding a cure for a disease that takes the life of 40,000 women every year. Necessity is the mother of invention…
One of my top priorities when designing Cleavitz® was COMFORT!! As I was recovering I discovered that Cleavitz® was a great alternative to the uncomfortable hospital bras that are issued post-surgery. The biggest benefit -- I could put on my wire- and elastic-free Cleavitz® simply by stepping into it. I didn’t have to raise my arms over my head, which can be painful during recovery.
It’s so nice to hear how Cleavitz® has helped so many of my customers hide scars and improve their comfort as they heal as well.
Buying a Cleavitz Helps Fight Cancer
I hope you take pride and comfort in knowing that not only will you be able to wear low-cut fashions with confidence and style, in addition two percent of all Cleavitz revenues are going straight to the front lines of the battle against breast cancer.
